The Software Engineer will perform advanced analysis and computer programming work involving all technical aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing applications for a large project. This position requires strong PL/SQL skills. We are seeking a proactive team member who will be responsible for enhancing the assigned application and solving production issues. Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile approach for completing code changes for defined releases. The Programmer works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ Years of SQL experience
- 7+ Years of experience and knowledge in use of Oracle stored procedures, PL/SQL
- 7+ Years of Dynamic SQL and Exception handling
- Strong Experience working in an Agile Enviroment and 2 week sprints
The client is developing a data warehouse solution and requires a Sr. ETL developer with proven data warehouse experience to:
- Design, develop, and test ETL processes for the data warehouse.
- Develop and document ETL processes to extract data from existing systems into the data warehouse.
- Document the “as-is” schemas currently in use at TWC.
- Perform other analysis and documentation tasks as required to enhance data warehouse functionality.
- ERWin or other equivalent data modeling tools
- More than one type of RDBMS (DB2, SQLServer, Oracle)
Design and develop Extraction, Transformation, Load (ETL) processes for enterprise data warehouse using Informatica; Deep hands-on expertise with Informatica ETL processes, development, data management, data profiling, data flows, data relationships, and data quality standards and processes.
Hands-on experience with data warehouse development (relational and dimensional) and proven evidence to implement using databases like Oracle, SQL Server etc. but preferably Oracle using different data sources.
The Worker will perform routine programming tasks in an agile environment, including implementing solutions based on user stories and customer designs, and providing technical expertise to the team with design discussions and peer reviews. Worker will provide feedback and contribute expertise to improve applications and development processes.
Worker will perform these tasks:
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, administering, and enhancing JIRA Core, JIRA Software, Confluence, JIRA Service Desk, and BitBucket
- Helping guide the configuration and documentation of client JIRA, Confluence and BitBucket instances
- Develop and maintain Maven and ANT build scripts in a Jenkins continuous integration environment.
- Write high-quality, reusable code following industry best practices
- Work with customers to enable custom workflows, fields, screens, dashboards, and reports
- Provide client training on JIRA and Confluence usage, administration, and operational use and maintenance of the systems
- Follow best practices for serverless architecture
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Write unit tests using JavaScript testing frameworks
- Review and validate proposed architectural solutions
