PRE-APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM Overview

McLane Technology Partners (MTP) Project Management Professional (PMP) Pre-Apprenticeship Program is designed to equip entry-level workers for Registered Apprenticeship programs.  MTP’s PMP Pre-Apprenticeship Program supports the development of a skilled and diverse workforce.  Our programs have the flexibility to meet the needs of our students and employers.

The course is design for business leaders and managers to manage programs in the workplace. Business leaders and managers will find a higher competency in the workplace with an understanding of methods of completing projects on time and on budget. Topics include project leadership, project lifecycle methodology, best practice benchmarking, business process development, business requirements, and benefits, communications, business justification, project planning, procurement, execution and control, organizational change, customer acceptance, performance metrics, and project closure. Project types covered include software applications, systems development, and hardware. Concepts covered in this course can be applied to any project.  This course presents the specific concepts, techniques and tools for managing projects effectively. The role of the project manager is examined, together with important techniques for controlling cost, schedules, and performance parameters. This course is instructor lead on how projects are combined to develop skills needed by project managers in today's environment.
